SOUNDS..and the sound of no sound
My sleep pattern's all over the place and I´m waking at up 4.30-5ish...as soon as it gets bright and the birds start singing really loudly..really!
The tropical noise is what strikes me more than anything. The noise of nature and life; creatures singing, croaking, flying, hissing...rain, thunder and wind. It never stops - 24hours a day.
It´s a noise that affects your whole body...entering the ears and filling the head, belly and soul. The hum, the rythms- Aiko said that there´s no noise during winter...but that the sound of silence can be loud too..I loved how she put it - “the sound of no sound”.
Yesterday I made some drawings about this. The sound of 'sound' and the sound of 'no sound'.
