Pattern and Colour

I'm organising my new studio space and sorting through kimono fabric that I bought in Japan.

Looking at the kimonos and the kimono fabric in Japan was so inspiring. I especially loved the variety and mixture of muted colours with vivid, luminous colours when the kimonos were hung together in the shops and markets.

I find the organic motifs, formal patterns and the sensitive colour combinations really beautiful.
