Clusters of Concave Paintings

Here is a selection of "Concave Paintings". Each individual piece is painted on primed canvas or card and encased within wooden cylindrical frames of various sizes. The paintings are grouped in a cluster arrangement and they recede in a concave manner. The paintings, the form and the composition of the group are inspired by naturally occurring patterns or shapes reminiscent of nature and living organisms.

These concave paintings were exhibited in Stockholm. Each composition was painted on primed card and framed within wooden cylinder frames.

This installation was made during a residency in Japan and exhibited in a large cluster made up of 20 concave paintings. The paintings were inspired by the natural environment where they were made and I painted them on primed card. They were encased within bamboo cut to various diameter and length. The bamboo was cut from the forrest next to Kayamori House
